In reply to: kes7 wrote a new post on the site unimatrix 0.1 So, I’ve been AWOL from posting for a while, and during that time, a surprising number of comments have piled up on my approvals page. Please don’t be envious of my […] View

Pfft, I probably have. But I haven’t signed into Ramblin’ in awhile to check. However, your blog post about spam was utterly entertaining, because you’re very good at dry wit.

    –that I should write.

Well, you asked, and I shall answer.  Actually, to admit to infidelity to Trek fandom, I have been writing, breaking the dry spell I’ve been on since probably around early fall of last […]

As asked on Boldly Reading… what firsts do I like?

Well, everyone knows I’m a backstory hound, so the answer is all of them.  I love, especially, common themes throughout history.  I’m afraid I’ve never been […]

I haven’t written anything except a short DSZRP piece for Mike.  I don’t know why my creativity is tanked right now; I desperately want something to put my creative focus on.  But between moving house, cleaning […]

    As prompted on Boldly Reading…

There has been a major dearth of LGBTQ characters in all of mainstream fiction, though it’s slowly improving now with time.  Not there yet, but definitely getting better.  […]

Actually, IIRC, Scotty snd M’Ress had a brief, outside influenced flirtation that ended by the end of the half-hour with them most emphatically not liking each other anymore. Not quite sure you’d be able to slot […]

    My favorite childhood book.

Watership Down by Richard Adams.  I still enjoy reading it (when I have a copy in house) even now.

Theism is the belief that there is a higher power. Christianity is the belief that Jesus Christ is our savior.

I know, right? It’s pretty hard to assign Sueness to a setting.

I played the slide trombone from the fourth grade on. I was quite good, too. Marching band is a shocking amount of work — from sunrise to late afternoon in the dog days of summer, you’re marching. At band […]

My dream job:  Writing novels professionally, on my own terms, with characters I love.  Which is still wholly possible, but between work, kids and chronic inflammatory conditions, much harder.  Further, to be able […]

The best thing to happen this year…

Taking Erin and the kids to Atlantic Beach, NC.  Hooking up with Zach there.  Swimming in the ocean.  Collecting seashells.  Geeking it up.  Visiting Erin’s Mom.

    My ten favorite foods.

(Not drinks?  But… but… coffee!)  In no particular order:

    Unpasturized creamy wildflower honey.
    Steak.
    Tuna salad sandwiches or subs.
Beef and vegetable soup with giant […]
